Nestled in the midst of the superb Steele homestead gardens, these meticulously maintained cabins have everything you need for your holiday base while you explore the beautiful West Coast of New Zealand's South Island.

Riverview Cabins:
This small country backpacker lodge has 4 cabin bedrooms each with all beds made and duvets and electric blankets in all rooms. The kitchen is fully equipped. The shower and toilet are located in the centre of the 4 cabin bedrooms very close to each room and everything is under cover.

Lambs and calves are close by (in season). A private barbeque and outdoor dining area is available for guests. Two hotels are close by with courtesy buses available.Hokitika Budget Accommodation

Visit Lake Kaniere with its magnificent scenery and walks through native rainforest. Cruise to Lake Mahinapua up a wonderful waterway on the Takutai Belle Paddle Boat. Both these lakes are just 10 minutes away. Take a walk on the wild side - anything from a short easy stroll to a full day tramping or climbing. Visit the local craft shops and watch local talent at work and discover the town's rich history in the Historical Museum and the Heritage area.

Dine out in one of Hokitika's award winning restaurants, or catch a salmon or trout in the Hokitika River and cook it exactly the way you like it on Riverview's barbeque.
